Portland Plunge

Whether you're an official "plunger" or just an onlooker, the Portland Plunge is one of our most popular events of the year. Each January, brave participants jump into the frigid Grand River to help raise awareness and funds for the Portland Community Arts Council.
- WHO: Anyone who wants to support the arts!
- WHAT: A quick dip into the icy Grand River at the Grand Dam Arts Center, preceeded by much anticipation and "What was I thinking?" comments; followed by warm beverages and light snacks.
- Plungers pay a $10 entry fee and must collect at least $40 in pledges or donations. Each Plunger receives a T-shirt with our hip Portland Plunge Penguin logo. Other incentives are awarded for those who raise $100, $500, $1,000, or more.
- WHERE: Grand Dam Arts Center, 7360 Lyons Road, Portland, MI 48875
- WHEN: Saturday, January 16, 2:00 p.m. -- come a little early, so you're on the shor when the event takes place.
- WHY: To have some fun and to raise money to support the PCAC's many events throughout the year, like the free summer concert series, "Thursdays on the Grand."
- HOW: Download the entry form below and start collecting pledges. Or support one of our Plungers through your pledge. Or come out to watch the fun!
